FAQ

Thinking about becoming an RBT?

What is an RBT?
An RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is a paraprofessional certified by the BACB who provides ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA.
What qualifications do I need to become an RBT?
You need a high school diploma (or equivalent), completion of a 40-hour training course, passing the RBT Competency Assessment, and successfully passing the RBT exam. A background check is also required.
Do I need prior experience in ABA to apply?
No. We provide training and supervision to help you succeed, though experience with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is helpful.
What does a typical day look like for an RBT?
RBTs work one-on-one with clients, run therapy programs designed by a BCBA, take data on client progress, and collaborate with the clinical team and families.
