Liftoff ABA publishes articles and guides to help New Jersey families understand autism, ABA therapy, insurance coverage, and the state programs that support children with autism. This page explains how that content is created, reviewed, and maintained.
Who Creates Our Content
Our articles are produced by the Liftoff ABA team and are informed by the day-to-day clinical work of our BCBA-supervised, in-home therapy practice across New Jersey. Every article is reviewed before publishing for accuracy, clarity, and respectful, person-first language.
Our Editorial Standards
- Accuracy: Claims about autism, ABA, insurance, and New Jersey programs are checked against authoritative sources before publishing.
- Plain language: We write for parents, not professionals — without oversimplifying or exaggerating.
- Person-first, respectful language: We write about children and families with dignity, and we avoid fear-based framing.
- NJ-specific care: When we reference New Jersey programs — NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid), the NJ Early Intervention System (NJEIS), PerformCare, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), or the state autism insurance mandate — we aim to describe them accurately and point families to official resources.
- Honesty about ABA: ABA therapy is not a cure, and we say so. We set realistic expectations about goals, timelines, and outcomes.
Sources We Rely On
Our content draws on authoritative sources, including the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Academy of Pediatrics, peer-reviewed research on applied behavior analysis, and official New Jersey resources such as the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities and PerformCare New Jersey.
Educational Purpose & Medical Disclaimer
Everything we publish is for general educational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and reading it does not create a provider relationship with Liftoff ABA. Every child is different — decisions about evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment should be made with your pediatrician or a qualified clinician who knows your child.
If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Dates, Updates & Corrections
Articles display the date they were published. We periodically review and update content as programs, coverage rules, and best practices change. If you spot something outdated or incorrect, email intake@liftoffaba.com — we review correction requests promptly and fix errors.
Advertising & Independence
We do not run third-party advertising or publish sponsored posts. Liftoff ABA is an in-home ABA therapy provider, and some pages describe our own services — when they do, that is clearly recognizable. Our educational articles exist to be useful to families whether or not they ever become clients.
